oncologist<\/strong> and the head of the Pediatric Hematology &amp; Oncology Department of both the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madrid.org\/cs\/Satellite?cid=1142401217189&amp;pagename=HospitalNinoJesus\/Page\/HNIJ_contenidoFinal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Children\u2019s University Hospital \u201cNi\u00f1o Jes\u00fas\u201d<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quironsalud.es\/hospital-madrid\/es\/cartera-servicios\/hemato-oncologia-infantil\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University Hospital \u201cQuir\u00f3n Pozuelo\u201d<\/a>. He is also full professor of Pediatrics at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uam.es\/ss\/Satellite\/Medicina\/es\/1242672308484\/1242660752165\/persona\/detallePDI\/Madero_Lopez,_Luis.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Autonoma University of Madrid<\/a> and he is the lead investigator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iis-princesa.org\/investigacion\/area-2-2\/linea-3-grupo-39\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Research Group for Hematopoietic Stem Cells and Cell Therapy at the Research Institute \u201cLa Princesa\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of his research projects include <strong>childhood leukemia<\/strong>, cell and oncolytic immunotherapy for metastatic or refractory <strong>pediatric tumors<\/strong>, physical exercise in <strong>children with cancer<\/strong>, early-phase clinical trials, and the development of new targeted therapies.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Madero leads several translational research projects about <strong>childhood cancer<\/strong> funded by competitive national and international grants.
